Why make it?

This game came to pass from a side-effect of the Programmer's Conundrum. Originally I started out to create an inventory system for a game, after completing roughly 25% I asked myself why stop there? I ended up wanting to build my own 2D game starting from scratch. My lack of artistic ability to create art assets such as players and scenery has slowed the process. But, it has been progressing.

What does it do?

Well, It's a games thats meant to be played. Currently it is a game with a locked isometric viewport, the player has 8 directions they can move. Every step the player makes has a chance to encounter an enemy, the more steps without an encounter the higher the probability the next step will have an encounter. The battle mechanics will be closely related to Pokemon or Final Fantasy where its turn based. There is a story to go with but thats a secret.
